Celebrating the Soul of India at Parivartan School
At Parivartan Public School, education goes beyond books and blackboards—it’s about nurturing responsible, aware citizens who understand the roots of their country and the value of its freedom. National festivals like Republic Day, Independence Day, and Gandhi Jayanti are celebrated not just as holidays, but as opportunities to instill deep respect and pride for India among our students.
Republic Day – Honoring Our Constitution
Every year on January 26th, the Parivartan School campus echoes with the rhythm of patriotism as students, teachers, and villagers come together to celebrate Republic Day. The tricolor is hoisted with pride, followed by a cultural program that includes patriotic songs, speeches, and skits explaining the importance of the Indian Constitution and the sacrifices made to uphold democracy.
Our students actively participate in essay writing, drawing, and debate competitions around themes like rights and duties, unity in diversity, and India’s progress. It’s a day of reflection, reminding everyone of the power of our democratic values.
Gandhi Jayanti – Learning from the Mahatma
On October 2nd, Parivartan School commemorates Gandhi Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. The day begins with students singing bhajans like “Vaishnav Jan To“, followed by storytelling sessions about Bapu’s life, values of non-violence, truth, and simple living.
Children often come dressed as Gandhiji and present speeches and plays that highlight his role in India’s freedom struggle. More importantly, they learn how his principles are still relevant in today’s world—be it in resolving conflicts, respecting others, or protecting the environment.
Independence Day – A Tribute to Our Freedom Fighters
On August 15th, the entire school is draped in the colors of freedom. Our students sing the national anthem and perform dances and dramas based on India’s struggle for independence. The flag-hoisting ceremony is conducted with great reverence, and guests from the local community are invited to share their words of encouragement.
Children pay tribute to great freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh , Rani Lakshmi bai, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar through their performances. The message is clear—freedom was hard-earned, and it’s our duty to preserve and protect it.
Why These Celebrations Matter
In remote hilly areas like ours, students may not always have access to mainstream platforms. But at Parivartan, we make sure they are connected to the nation’s spirit and values . These celebrations help our children understand the essence of India, its struggles, its heroes, and their own responsibilities as future citizens.
We believe that when a child respects their roots, they grow stronger.
“A nation’s culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people.” – Mahatma Gandhi
